Join us as an Advanced Manufacturing Automation Technologist and take ownership of automated production processes powered by computer‑controlled systems and robotics (Allen‑Bradley hardware, RSLogix 500/5000, SCARA robots). Your mission: install and configure new assets, execute preventive strategies, resolve downtime rapidly, and ensure every run meets our quality and production standards — safely, on schedule, and cost‑effectively.

Shift:

1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Overtime may be required.

What you’ll own

Full lifecycle equipment support: installation, setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and ultrasonic systems.

Routine diagnostics and system monitoring to preempt failures and stabilize automated operations.

Timely preventive maintenance, line changeovers, and repairs to protect build schedules.

Management of the Periodic Preventive Maintenance (PPM) database to sustain PM activities.

Direct support for new/modified process introductions, including controls assistance during equipment startup.

Creation and revision of product drawings, fixturing, work instructions, test procedures, and quality requirements; assist with procedure/process documentation within the work center.

Validation and re‑validation of process and fixture capability.

Cross‑functional improvement initiatives with engineering, production, and maintenance to boost safety, efficiency, quality, and cost performance.

Achievement of production goals aligned with scheduled build plans and adherence to manufacturing quality standards and operational targets.

Compliance with — and recommendations to enhance — our Quality Management System; active promotion of lean initiatives.

Strict adherence to all safety and policy regulations; other assignments as appropriate.

Qualifications

Associate of Science; Engineering discipline preferred.

Minimum 5 years in manufacturing with responsibility for supporting automated equipment.

Demonstrated expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and ultrasonic systems.

Knowledge of microprocessors, PLCs, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensors, feedback systems, and pneumatics.

Experience with Allen‑Bradley hardware and Rockwell RSLogix 500/5000; SCARA robots preferred. Prior work with Panasonic and Telemecanique is advantageous.

Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical blueprints and strong understanding of electro‑mechanical control systems.

Strong math, computer, and electronics foundation; adept with hand tools and diagnostic instruments.

Proven ability to identify process/product improvements and tailor processes to local capabilities.

Independent, diligent, organized, and detail‑oriented; communicates effectively at all organizational levels.

High initiative and strong work ethic.

General ISO knowledge with working understanding of: document/record control; new product development; identification/traceability/preservation of product; property management; supplier maintenance; monitoring/measuring/inspection/validation; control of nonconforming product; corrective and preventive action.

Physical demands Role involves periods of standing, walking, and sitting; frequent hand use for tools/instruments; reaching; stair climbing; balancing; stooping; kneeling; and crouching. Occasionally lift or move up to 30 lbs.
