BCforward is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical AI&T Engineer to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles, CA
Position:
Mechanical AI&T Engineer
Work Arrangement:
ONSITE
Duration:
3 months (Possible Extension).
Base pay range $55.00/hr - $65.00/hr
Key job responsibilities
Generate detailed designs via CAD systems and engineering drawings with appropriate geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Support space hardware qualification/acceptance campaigns including:
Deliver well‑written test plans, procedures, and reports
Design of test fixtures
Assembly and build of test/flight hardware
Develop space hardware assembly build procedures
Perform mechanical builds of prototype or space hardware
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Structural, and Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience with Siemens NX CAD package (Siemens NX, NX Teamcenter, GD&T per ASME Y14.5)
3+ years of experience in space hardware assembly, integration and test
Familiar with mechanical test instrumentation such as thermocouples, RTDs, accelerometers, etc.
Familiar with mechanical assembly, typical assembly tools, and space hardware build best practices
Experience working with cross functional teams and a strong ability to collaborate
