Job Summary We are seeking skilled and dedicated
Audio Visual (AV) Systems Engineers
to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing design, development, and commissioning of complex AV systems from concept to completion. This role collaborates closely with clients, architects, and project teams to ensure high‑quality design, documentation, and integration aligned with Baker Audio Visual’s standards. Key Responsibilities
Lead AV design efforts from concept through construction documentation.
Coordinate with account managers to define project scope, budgets, and deliverables.
Develop system drawings including schematics, riser diagrams, rack elevations, and detailed layouts.
Conduct site surveys and verify field conditions.
Perform full audiovisual system commissioning, including DSP configuration, video routing, and control system validation.
Collaborate with cross‑discipline teams to resolve design challenges and ensure integration success.
Prepare detailed specifications and technical documentation for proposals and submittals.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills Experience
3‑6+ years of experience in audiovisual system design, implementation, and commissioning.
Proficiency with AVIXA CTS‑D certification.
Strong knowledge of integrated AV systems including conferencing, broadcast, collaboration, and control environments.
Technical Skills
Experience with systems from Crestron, Extron, Q‑SYS, Biamp, and similar technologies.
Excellent AutoCAD or Revit skills; experience with Bluebeam and Microsoft 365 tools.
Strong communication and project coordination skills.
Soft Skills
Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong multitasking ability and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Other Requirements
AVIXA CTS, Crestron, or Extron Certifications preferred.
Ability to lift and move AV equipment as needed.
Valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and willingness to travel to client sites.
These positions can be based out of Norcross, GA or the Charlotte, NC metro area.
