Job Description The Hotel Hartness is actively searching for an efficient, detailed, and self‑motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team.

Responsibilities

Respond promptly to all guest issues and address all work orders in an efficient and effective manner.

Assist in the proper operations and upkeep of all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, tile work, laundry, kitchen, refrigeration, lighting systems, and all specialized equipment as directed by Lead Maintenance Engineer/General Manager.

Perform daily maintenance including wall repair, painting, furniture repair, floor buffing/polishing, lighting replacement, unclogging of toilets, exterior cleanliness, window screen cleaning, replacement of small fixtures, basic landscaping, and all other property needs to ensure guest satisfaction.

Assist in the preventative and general maintenance programs for all equipment, guest rooms, restaurant, public areas, parking areas, and all other facilities located on property.

Lead curb appeal, landscaping, and grounds maintenance in all weather conditions.

Manage regular trash removal/management.

Adhere to all health, sanitation, safety, and security laws, policies, and procedures in the department/hotel.

Monitor and ensure departmental compliance with all state and federal wage and hour employment laws.

Qualifications

Some maintenance experience required.

Proven communication skills.

Clean work habits with great attention to detail.

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively while maintaining calmness, composure, and hospitality.

Successful completion of background check and/or DMV check.
