Experienced Journeyman Service / Project Electrician
At Prism Electric we are looking for Service Electricians who are looking for long‑term careers, not just another job!
As a Prism Electric Service Electrician you will operate in a wide variety of environments troubleshooting, making repairs and performing both small and large electrical installations. Our primary customer base consists of Manufacturing, Light Industrial, Commercial and Property Management. You will be expected to be highly knowledgeable of your trade, provide excellent customer service, be self‑motivated, quality focused, and to operate safely and efficiently in the field with a minimum of immediate supervision.
Required Skills, Etc:
A minimum of 3 years experience working as a Service Electrician is required for consideration.
Candidates must have a State of Texas Master or Journeyman Electrician license as well as a Texas Driver’s license and a clean driving record. All candidates must be able to pass drug testing and national minimum 10 year background check.
Potential candidates are required to have a professional appearance and demeanor and be highly proficient in the following areas:
Safety
NEC requirements
Customer service
Troubleshooting a wide variety of commercial and manufacturing systems
Troubleshooting and installation of motor control systems
Commercial installations
Manufacturing / Light Industrial installations
Generator installations
UPS installations
Lighting installations
In addition to these skills, potential candidates must be physically fit, able to lift a minimum of 60lbs, and be willing / able to work overtime and weekends if / when required.
Additional capabilities / experience in the following areas will be considered a plus:
Medium voltage installations (5 kV – 35 kV)
PLC troubleshooting and programming
Holder of Texas CDL
Certified thermographer
MM Fiber and / or Cat 5 – Cat 6 cabling troubleshooting, installation and testing
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training
Other safety training
