Mechanical Engineer
to join a leading manufacturing company. This role is perfect for a professional with a strong background in mechanical design, equipment installation, and continuous improvement initiatives within production environments. The ideal candidate will be hands‑on with CAD tools, comfortable collaborating on cross‑functional projects, and focused on optimizing reliability, performance, and cost.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and improve mechanical components, assemblies, and production equipment to meet performance, quality, and safety standards.
Create detailed drawings, specifications, and BOMs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
Lead equipment installation, commissioning, and validation activities in partnership with maintenance and production teams.
Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability.
Perform tolerance analysis, material selection, and DFM/DFA for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
Support NPI (new product introduction) by translating design requirements into production‑ready solutions.
Collaborate with quality and operations to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal procedures.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance schedules.
Analyze performance data and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput and reduce downtime.
Manage vendor relationships for custom components, tooling, and equipment upgrades.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proficiency with CAD software and PLM/ERP tools; strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack‑ups.
Experience with mechanical systems, pneumatics/hydraulics, materials, and failure analysis.
Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and experience working with machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
Ability to work cross‑functionally with production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams.
Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME) and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills; capable of managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Salary:
$80,000 – $95,000 based on experience
