CNC Finisher (Career Path To Machinist) – 2nd Shift Openings
Acme Industries, a precision manufacturing leader since 1948, is hiring CNC finishers for our 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, 4:20 pm–2:50 am) in Elk Grove Village, IL. The role offers a career path to machinist positions with hands‑on training.

Job Duties
Follow written instructions.
Perform operations to remove burrs and sharp edges.
Clean machined surfaces on parts.
Polish, grind, or buff production parts.
Package parts according to customer needs on skids or in boxes.
Perform final assembly, leak test, and touch‑up paint.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
The Right Person / What We Need From You
Ideal candidate has CNC job shop or machining facility experience.
Many candidates have minimal or no experience but are eager to start a career.
Can read and interpret work instructions accurately.
Can stand for up to 12 hours at a time.
Can use hand tools, operate overhead cranes, and powered pallet jack; may lift or move objects up to 50 lbs.
Forklift experience preferred; training available.
Demonstrated work history.
Must read and write English.
Strong work ethic and employability skills.
Desire to grow and learn.
