Position Summary The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of equipment operators and maintenance technicians to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of all plant machinery and equipment. This role includes implementing a preventative maintenance program, managing the maintenance shop, and maintaining inventory and parts ordering. This job role will require up to 50 hours a week to effectively accomplish the role.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of equipment operators and maintenance technicians.
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Program.
Manage the maintenance shop, including inventory control and ordering of parts and supplies.
Ensure timely and effective maintenance of all equipment to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to support operational goals.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Required Experience & Skills
Proven experience with the following equipment:
Ossid packaging and labeling machinery
Multivac skin and tray pack equipment
X-ray inspection systems
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
Strong communication and organizational skills
Knowledge with Electrical and Ammonia Refrigeration is a plus
Education & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred
Minimum of 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment
