Primary Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, hydraulic, tracks, diesel engines, and transmissions on construction equipment and cranes.
Maintain a safe shop work environment.
Communicate equipment issues with supervisor to ensure customer satisfaction.
Operate/maneuver heavy equipment on site safely and effectively.
Check daily to ensure equipment functions properly and safely.
Store equipment safely and securely when not in use.
Order needed parts from vendors when required.
Operate and test equipment after repair.
Skills & Qualifications
5+ years as a heavy equipment mechanic with a large construction company.
Thorough knowledge of equipment and safety processes in commercial, civil, and/or marine construction.
Knowledge of maintenance, storage, schematics, and diagrams.
Necessary tools to perform the work assigned.
Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to weld and fabricate (preferred).
Ability to meet daily activities according to schedule.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Multi-tasking and fast‑paced work ability.
Dependable attendance schedule.
Strong lifting, squatting, crawling, and confined space work capability (lift up to 50 lbs).
Strong work ethic, teamwork, customer service, verbal and written skills.
Age 18+.
Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization.
Preferred TWIC credentials and CDL.
