TEKsystems is seeking multiple Construction Coordinators for OSP & ISP construction projects in PA/NJ markets. The role will support Comcast BAU projects and involves managing both commercial (Metro E & SMB) and residential (MDUs, SDUs) construction. Responsibilities
Construction Coordinators (1-year contract to hire) will support their OSP telecommunications construction efforts not limited to Commercial (Metro E and SMB) and Residential (Multiple Dwelling Units), SDU (Single Dwelling Unit) jobs. These construction coordinators will be aligned geographically and will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish. This will involve overseeing internal crews as well as contractors to ensure projects are meeting deadlines, perform quality control, and provide the end client with various updates. They will be overseeing Coax Splicers and should have some knowledge with inspecting/splicing 565 count, 625 count, 715 count, and 825 count coax as well as large fiber bundles. Ultimately they will be reporting to a project manager and the client itself to provide meeting updates and tracking/reports within excel or client specific software so computer literacy is a must! These will be turn key projects so they will be performing Site Surveys, Site Walks, creating and validating BOM's, approving line items, set expectations with end clients, coordinating construction with various crews, performing QC, and working project through close out to validate As-builts. Really need to be comfortable creating accurate timelines after assessing projects. These resources must be customer facing and in the field (75% in field, 25% in office). Experience working across Design, Permitting, and Construction is a plus. But they do have an in-house permitting team. Need to have great internal and external communication abilities. This person needs to be motivated and have the ability to take initiative. They will have a strong support system and need to know when to escape issues to higher managers. Also in charge of raising awareness around vendors performance. Tons of collaboration internally and externally. Providing updates and QC report tracking. Reporting to client and PM weekly meeting updates spreadsheets. Tracking in excel. Assessing project defining scope find bill of materials approve line items. Engaging in accurate timelines. Working with contractors and in house construction teams. Be able to change digital to as-builds. Coax Knowledge: 565, 625, 715, and 860. There will be OT opportunities and some on-call responsibilities. Job Type & Location
