Overview
Ortho Tech Arizona Sports Medicine Center Scottsdale is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to join Abrazo Health through Tenet Physician Resources. This role supports patient care in orthopedic settings, assists with pre-operative braces and orthopedic appliances, and collaborates with care teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities
Assist in the care of patients by fitting and applying pre-operative braces, crutches, other soft goods, and preparing patients for testing procedures. Prepare and apply casts and orthopedic appliances. Assist with orthopedic procedures, including wound care, aspirations, minor surgical procedures, and fracture reductions. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients and visitors; sterilize and store instruments according to practice policies. Complete patient routing slips and charge tickets with all appropriate CPT and corresponding ICD codes. Comply with PPE requirements and safety guidelines for protection against exposure to blood, body fluids, chemicals, radiation, and other hazards; observe radiation safety and OSHA guidelines. Inventory, order, and maintain departmental supplies at defined levels. Demonstrate professionalism, contribute to personal growth, and support team needs as required. Education & Certification
Education : GED or High School Diploma required. Certification : Orthopedic Technician Certification from the National Board for Certification on Orthopedic Technicians preferred; CPR certification. Experience
One year of experience in an orthopedic setting or equivalent knowledge of patient care methods, procedures, and techniques. Employment Details
