Role Summary Ensure the quality and safety of engineering deliverables by overseeing design reviews and refining standards. You’ll mentor others in QA/QC practices, manage risk, and help maintain technical excellence. This role is ideal for detail‑oriented professionals who are committed to upholding high standards, refining processes, and ensuring consistent quality across engineering deliverables and team outputs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology
10+ years of experience
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Experience working with AutoCAD; specific experience with Civil 3D and/or Line Design Software such as O‑Calc, SPIDACalc, or DDS is a plus.
Expertise in designing electrical distribution physical structures, routing, equipment specifications, and wiring.
Authority to comprehend and interpret safety codes, utility standards and regulations.
Strategic and detail‑oriented, with advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills and the ability to optimize complex systems and workflows.
Trusted and respected, with deep expertise in fostering collaboration across disciplines and driving innovation within project teams.
Forward‑thinking communicator able to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Responsibilities
Oversee design reviews and validation procedures; review and ensure the accuracy and safety of electrical distribution facility designs.
Establish and refine quality standards aligned with industry best practices.
Spearhead the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
Mentor engineers of varying experience levels in applying QA/QC principles and maintaining technical excellence.
Champion QA/QC processes to ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality engineering outputs.
Interface with project managers to align quality goals with schedule and budget.
