Human Resources Generalist

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist for our Waynesville, MO location who is passionate about supporting mental health professionals and improving the lives of those with mental health challenges. This role combines healthcare HR expertise with a commitment to maintaining high standards in a behavioral health setting.
Key Responsibilities Compliance & Documentation
Maintain employee files in accordance with Joint Commission standards and federal/state regulations
Verify and track professional licenses and certifications
Monitor and update employee education and training records
Support the identification and fulfillment of training requirements for the facility, including assessment of competencies
Ensure compliance with healthcare‑specific HR requirements
Recruitment & Onboarding
Coordinate comprehensive onboarding processes
Conduct new employee orientations
Manage background checks and pre‑employment screening
Support recruitment activities and candidate screening
Maintain accurate documentation in UKG HRIS system
Employee Relations & Development
Administer various leave programs (FMLA, Workers' Compensation)
Investigate and resolve employee relations issues
Coordinate with hospital leadership on performance matters
Plan and execute employee engagement activities
Support professional development initiatives
Administrative Management
Update and maintain HRIS records
Process personnel changes and documentation
Generate HR reports and analytics
Manage employee benefits administration
Support payroll processes as needed
Support scheduling processes as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
1+ year HR generalist experience in healthcare setting, preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with UKG HRIS systems
Understanding of healthcare compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in behavioral health setting
PHR/SHRM‑CP certification
Knowledge of Joint Commission standards
Background in healthcare recruitment
Experience with employee relations in healthcare
