As a Pallet Repairer, you’ll get to build and repair wooden pallets from freshly cut or recycled wood on a daily basis to fulfill all our customers’ needs! This is a piece‑rate position, so the more pallets you repair, the more money you make!
Pay:
$14.00/hr
+ Piece Rate
Shift: 1st Shift Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
Location: 550 Canino Rd, Houston, TX 77076
Responsibilities
Receive wood from the saw shop and piece together with a nail gun along set stringers
Stack finished product by hand for forklift operators to move to appropriate areas
Ensure safety for yourself and others by following all procedures as set by the company
Achieve high standards of quality while maintaining a high volume of finished goods
Qualifications and Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to lift wooden pallets weighing about 50 lbs on a regular basis
Previous experience in lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing is highly preferred
Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work overtime as needed
Ability to work in extreme conditions (elements, heat, cold, air particulate)
Repetitive lifting 50–75 pounds, adjusting body position, bending, stooping, walking, turning, pivoting, and standing for entire shifts
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required—eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes
Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, and color vision
