About The Role
The Machine Helper plays a critical role in supporting the manufacturing process within the non‑durable goods industry by assisting machine operators and ensuring smooth production flow. This position involves preparing materials, monitoring equipment, and performing routine maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maintain product quality. The Machine Helper will collaborate closely with the production team to identify and resolve minor mechanical issues, contributing to overall operational efficiency. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, the Machine Helper ensures that machinery operates effectively, supporting the timely and consistent output of high‑quality products.
Base Pay Range $18.00/hr – $19.00/hr
Minimum Qualifications
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn machine operation procedures.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Effective communication skills to work well within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Familiarity with durable goods manufacturing processes.
Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Certification in workplace safety or equipment operation.
Ability to read and interpret production schedules and technical instructions.
Responsibilities
Assist machine operators in setting up and operating manufacturing equipment.
Prepare and supply raw materials to machines as required for production runs.
Monitor machine performance and report any irregularities or malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure optimal operation.
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
Help with loading and unloading materials and finished products as needed.
Maintain accurate records of production activities and machine status.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and quality standards.
