Planning & Design Engineer

Overview Our client, a leader in broadband infrastructure and communications systems, is seeking a
Planning & Design Engineer
to join their growing team. This role is responsible for coordinating construction projects and designing broadband communication systems in collaboration with the project team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and organizational skills, ensuring project specifications are met and designs are efficiently integrated within broader network plans.
Responsibilities
Coordinate construction activities and assist with project progress to ensure timely completion and procedural compliance.
Create construction jobs from multiple intake sources and validate documentation to ensure readiness for execution.
Obtain and organize additional information as needed to advance project workflows.
Utilize planning tools to assess nearby jobs for integration and efficiency opportunities.
Design broadband communication systems using specialized software.
Prepare keys, charts, diagrams, and drawings for use by internal departments.
Maintain and update system maps, design files, and project documentation.
Track system spreadsheets and maintain current records of ongoing projects.
Maintain consistent, punctual attendance and flexibility to work nights, weekends, or overtime as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts, Engineering, GIS, or a related field,
or
a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in broadband or telecommunications design.
Strong proficiency with design tools and data management systems.
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
