Civil Project Engineer - EIT Location: Sanford, FL
Responsibilities
Prepare design plans, specifications, and reports for water/wastewater and stormwater projects, including transmission, distribution, collection, treatment, storage, utility master planning, permitting, and various engineering tasks.
Perform hydraulic modeling (stormwater pre/post and advanced treatment and storage, water and sewer pumping systems, hydraulic water distribution).
Interact with public and private clients and jurisdictional agencies to ensure project compliance.
Review design plans and assist the registered engineer with plan modifications; coordinate with drafting personnel to update plans and ensure adherence to industry and municipal standards.
Develop engineering calculations, drawings, and visual aids.
Assist with field research, data collection, analysis, graphics, maps, and report development.
Manage time and workload to stay on schedule and within budget.
Limited travel for site investigations, construction observation, and project transmittals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
EIT Certificate preferred or eligible; scheduled for FE exam.
Detail‑oriented with strong technical and organizational skills.
Proficient with spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software.
Can work well in multidisciplinary teams and meet deadlines.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience with WaterCAD, ICPR, or other modeling software is preferred.
Valid state‑issued driver's license with clean driving record.
