Position Overview We are seeking a proactive (English/Spanish) HR Generalist to join our team. In this dual‑site role, you will be the "face of HR" for our employees and management teams in Aurora and Libertyville. You’ll handle everything from payroll and benefits to labor relations in a union environment. Key Responsibilities

Act as a key point of contact for union representatives; interpret and administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and assist in grievance resolutions.

Provide on‑site support for site management and employees, answering questions regarding policies, benefits, and people processes.

Ensure weekly timecard accuracy, lead benefit orientations, manage leave of absence requests, and handle Workers’ Comp reporting.

Conduct new hire orientations and collaborate with the HR team to meet hiring targets and organizational goals.

Maintain the HRIS system with 100% confidentiality; assist with EEO‑1 filings, mandatory audits, and corrective action processes.

Assist in coordinating company events and reinforcing a positive workplace culture.

Maintain employee records in the HRIS system and answer frequently asked people‑process questions.

Collaborate with internal teams, including HR, to deliver a strategy to meet hiring targets.

Ensure all timecards are complete and approved by the weekly deadline.

Receive and investigate employee inquiries for payroll and benefits issues.

Lea benefit explanations, leave of absence requests, and WC reporting.

Partner with the Director of Human Resources on the disciplinary process and corrective actions.

Assist employees and site management with daily HR support.

Assist HR team to help assess and recommend needed organizational improvements and reinforce best practices.

Conduct and/or assist with the preparation and/or filing of mandatory reports, audits, EEO‑1 filings, and compliance requirements.

Serve as a key point of contact for union representatives and union employees.

Interpret and administer the CBA, ensuring consistent application of its terms and conditions.

Participate in the grievance process, conducting investigations, facilitating meetings, and working toward resolution.

Maintain full confidentiality with ethical and professional standards.

Assist with HR projects and miscellaneous tasks as requested.

Assist with coordinating company events.

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field.

Experience: 2–5 years of HR support experience. Experience in Benefits Administration or a Union environment is a significant plus.

Language: Full professional fluency in English and Spanish required.

Tech Savvy: Expert‑level skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to adapt quickly to new HRIS technologies.

Communication: Exceptional oral and written skills with the ability to deliver presentations to diverse groups.

Availability: Must be able to work on‑site at our Aurora facility 4 days a week and the Libertyville facility 1 day a week.

Salary & Hours $24.04 – $28.85 per hour. Shift: First. Work hours: 8 AM – 5 PM.
