Diesel Truck Mechanic - Day Shift
Location: Milwaukee, WI Pay: Up to $30/hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Employment Type: Direct Hire We are currently hiring a Diesel Truck Mechanic for a day-shift, direct-hire opportunity. This role involves performing maintenance and repair work on DOT diesel trucks, including lugger and roll-off trucks (prior experience with these specific types is helpful but not required). This is a great opportunity to join a stable and experienced team with a clean, well-equipped shop. This position is open due to the relocation of a valued long‑term employee. You'll be working alongside another seasoned diesel mechanic and a maintenance team member who assists with general shop duties and welding. Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on DOT diesel trucks Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations Troubleshoot and repair basic truck systems (brakes, hydraulics, electrical, etc.) Maintain accurate service records and complete necessary documentation Work collaboratively with team members to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime Maintain a clean and safe work environment Assist with general shop tasks as needed
