Med Tech / CNA (PT)
Location Kisco Senior Living, The Cardinal at North Hills
Overview The Medication Tech / CNA at The Cardinal at North Hills is responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well‑being.
Employment Details
Part time: every other weekend plus 1 day during the week.
MT – 2nd (3p–11p) & 3rd shift (11pm–7am).
CNA – 2nd shift (3p–11p).
Pay: $21–$23/hr (MT/CNA combo); $17–$20/hr for CNA.
Openings are in the Assisted Living Unit.
Responsibilities
Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to supervisor.
Assist residents with simple requests as needed.
Document and report changes of condition.
Provide medication setup and assistance.
Log medications from pharmacies, verify physician’s orders, and communicate any concerns.
Track all medications and re‑order as needed.
Track resident vital signs, diabetic testing, insulin injection, ambulation, etc.
Qualifications
High school education or GED equivalent preferred.
Must be licensed in North Carolina; CNA must have valid CNA certification; Medication Technician must have a licensed Medication Aide certification.
Ability to provide certificate of completion of 10-hour and 5-hour or 15-hour Medication Technician Certification course (certification after 90 days of solid employment).
Current First Aid and CPR certification if required.
Must meet state training requirements and/or certifications.
Must be 21 years of age (or meet state requirements).
Special Requirements / Certifications
First Aid certification and CPR.
Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA).
Must meet state training requirements and/or certifications for assisting with medications.
