Medtech - RPSGT training - Westerville, Ohio MedBridge Healthcare is seeking experienced medical professionals to work/train as a Sleep Technologist at our Westerville, Ohio location on a full‑time basis. Hours are generally 8:00 pm – 6:00 am and vary depending on patient volume (night time position). We are looking for Medical Technologists, MA, LPN, CNA, Paramedics or EMT who are able to train up to ten days on day shift. Additional incentive pay per shift is available based on study attendance and performance.

MedBridge is a leading provider of sleep laboratory management services and sleep therapy. We partner with hospitals and physician practices to offer comprehensive, fully integrated services for patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment and long‑term care management of patients with sleep disorders.

Position Summary A Medical Technologist works under the general supervision of a senior sleep technologist to learn the necessary skills to become a full‑time Sleep Technologist. The role includes comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, in‑center and out‑of‑center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, direct patient education, and documentation.

Responsibilities After Training

Gather and analyze patient information to identify specific needs and determine final testing parameters.

Complete and verify documentation, explaining pre‑testing, testing, and post‑testing procedures to patients.

Prepare and calibrate equipment to ensure proper functioning, including patient video recording, application of electrodes and sensors, physiologic calibrations, and PAP mask fitting.

Follow procedural protocols (MSLT, MWT, parasomnia studies, PAP, oxygen titration, etc.) and “lights out” and “lights on” procedures.

Perform polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring study quality and making adjustments as necessary.

Document observations every 20 minutes on the recording and in technical comments (sleep stage, clinical events, position changes, pressure changes, SaO2, heart rate, respiratory rate, etc.).

Implement appropriate interventions for patient safety and therapeutic goals.

Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events according to accepted guidelines and generate accurate reports.

Maintain equipment, perform routine and complex maintenance, and evaluate inventory.

Comply with laws, regulations, guidelines, and safety standards, including infection control.

Communicate effectively in written and oral form, demonstrate appropriate social skills, and respond to patient inquiries.

Follow the ABSM Standards of Conduct and dress in well‑fitting scrubs or business casual with a lab coat.

Ensure continuity of patient care when handing off to another technician, following the MedBridge Continuum of Care policy.

Requirements

Minimum three years of medical experience (Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, Instrument Tech, EEG Tech, EMT, etc.)

Strong communication skills

Computer literate and able to operate required equipment

Maintains confidentiality

Physical Demands Of The Job

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and focus adjustment.

Use hands to operate office equipment.

Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, frequently up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
