CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator
Location: St. Petersburg, FL.
Salary: $25.00–$35.00 per hour.
Employment Type: Full‑time.
Position Summary In support of SyBridge Technologies Group of Companies mission, vision, and values, the CNC Programmer/Machinist (Lathe) is responsible for daily operations, including set‑ups, programming, maximizing machine utilization, and unattended time. The role reports to the Job Leader and the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Program live tooling and subspindles.
Use MasterCAM software to program, set up, and operate lathe machines.
Maximize machine utilization and unattended time.
Follow routing plans and collaborate with manufacturing on any changes.
Fill inspection paperwork and verify dimensions of machined parts with precision measurement instruments to ensure first‑time quality.
Record and report errors and out‑of‑tolerance deviations to the Job Leader.
Schedule preventative maintenance.
Monitor tool inventory.
Provide training and motivation to team members.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
Assist the Manufacturing Engineer/Job Leader in planning routes when needed.
Travel when required by SyBridge.
Work mandatory overtime as required by SyBridge.
Read and understand quality manuals and procedures.
Qualifications
Eight (8) years of related experience with CNC lathes.
Four (4)–Five (5) years of experience with MasterCAM or equivalent programming.
Certification, college degree, high‑school diploma, and/or equivalent experience in a mold‑manufacturing environment.
Ability to multitask using multiple machines.
Ability to work under pressure and independently.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ensure quality standards are met.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
Proficiency in time management and communication skills.
