Consultant in Older Adult Psychiatry, East Sector – NHS Scotland
Salary:
£111,430 – £148,064 per annum pro rata
Location:
New Craigs Hospital, Inverness, Highlands, Scotland
Responsibilities
Provide consultant input to the community mental health team covering Mid Ross (Dingwall, Strathpeffer) and Easter Ross (Alness, Invergordon, Tain) for primary and organic mental disorders.
Support the nurse-led care home liaison team in collaboration with an experienced Associate Specialist.
Participate in the Consultant on-call rota (1:15).
Develop a flexible job plan with opportunities for special interests in community, inpatient, liaison, or young onset dementia services.
Work 8:2 split between Direct Clinical Care and Specialist Practice Activities (SPA) sessions.
Engage in ongoing professional development, peer supervision, and contribute to the in-house educational programme.
