Diesel Technician / Mechanic - Coburg, OR
Freightliner Northwest, a division of Gordon Truck Centers, is hiring a Diesel Technician / Mechanic for our Coburg, OR location.
Diesel Technicians at Gordon Truck Centers lead the charge in workmanship, commitment to safety, and providing reliable first‑class service to customers across the Pacific Northwest.
GTC has been helping customers satisfy their transportation needs since 1986 and operates a network of 18 dealerships offering Freightliner, Western Star, Wilson Trailer, TrailerCraft, and Freightliner of Hawaii services.
Responsibilities
Run diagnostic tests and analyze results.
Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
Apply working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C, and suspensions.
Determine unit condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.
Read schematics for electrical and air systems.
Develop technical skills through training opportunities.
Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop.
