Automotive Shop Manager
Central Florida’s leading luxury dealership, Lexus of Orlando, is looking for an experienced automotive service manager to lead a large, fast‑paced shop.
Job Description
Monitor shop workflow to ensure technicians are assigned the correct job based on skill level.
Coordinate work levels to maintain shop efficiency standards.
Manage the computer work management system, ensuring tasks are completed promptly.
Create and maintain technician schedules to keep sufficient staffing during peak hours.
Prepare, review, and maintain reports detailing WIP, technician production and “on-hold” job status.
Communicate work order status to senior service management to meet customer expectations.
Ensure OSHA compliance, proper waste disposal, and availability of first aid supplies.
Maintain timely oil tank and compressor inspections.
Hire and develop service technicians.
Job Requirements
Previous automotive service department experience as a technician, advisor, or manager.
Exceptional organization and time‑management skills.
High energy and positive personality.
Ability to handle multiple tasks professionally and courteously.
Ability to work directly with diagnostic specialists, technicians, service advisors, and parts personnel.
Computer savvy, proficiency with Microsoft Office and the dealership’s DMS system.
