Composites Fabrication Technician (Aerospace & Defense)
– Re:Build Manufacturing
Pay $18–$22/hr depending on experience
Responsibilities
Work with epoxy, polyester, vinyl ester, silicones, and other resin systems, understanding their application and handling.
Hand‑finish patterns and molds, achieving smooth, production‑ready surfaces.
Use hand tools for cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembly with care and consistency.
Assemble structures: set up, bond, and install fasteners with precision.
Conduct self‑inspections to ensure quality at every step.
Qualifications
1–3 years in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.
Experience with composite materials (Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, Fiberglass) is a plus.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Confidence reading SOPs/work instructions and offering improvement ideas.
Measurement skills with calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and indicators.
Hands‑on fabrication ability and comfort with common shop tools.
Experience with adhesive bonding and structural assembly, including fasteners.
Meticulous attention to detail working to tight tolerances.
Schedule Second shift, Monday–Thursday, 2:30 pm–1:30 am.
