Are you a seasoned forensic, civil, or structural engineer looking to join a team that values work‑life balance and invests in employee growth?
Or perhaps you're a licensed Civil/Structural P.E. seeking a new direction in your career—and forensic engineering has sparked your interest?
St. Louis, here we come!
At ProNet Group, your engineering expertise will help uncover the causes behind structural failures, construction defects, and the impacts of natural disasters. Your investigations will directly support legal outcomes, insurance claims, and safety standards across the built environment.
This isn’t your typical desk job — think CSI, but for wood, masonry, concrete, and steel. You’ll dive into structural mysteries, figuring out what went wrong and why.
Join our expert team in the unique and rewarding field of forensic engineering, where your background in engineering design and/or construction will be key to solving structural failures in buildings of all sizes — from homes to high rises to large commercial structures.
Location:
Hybrid office environment (remote or from an office – the choice is all yours!) and on-site inspections.
️ Your Mission, if you choose to accept it
Be the engineering detective: uncover causes of collapses, foundation failures, leaks, roof damage, and post‑storm, post‑impact, or post‑fire structural issues
Enjoy flexible scheduling and autonomy during site visits while gathering evidence and documenting site conditions
Conduct expert evaluations and prepare professional reports
Enjoy a healthy mix of field work and remote/office‑based analysis (about 40/60)
What You’ll Do
Investigate and determine the root causes of:
Structural failures — from foundations to roofs and all components of the building envelope
Moisture and water intrusion issues
Conduct detailed field inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial structures
Evaluate the extent of damage and assess structural integrity
What You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering
(Required)
Active P.E. license in the state of open position
(Required)
Curiosity, creativity, and problem‑solving instincts – you’re the kind of person who wants to know what went wrong and why
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Deep understanding of building materials, construction methods, and building codes
What We Bring
Be part of a nationally recognized firm with a reputation for excellence
Work on high‑impact projects that make a difference in safety and accountability
