Collections Specialist
We are a small real estate law firm that represents Homeowners Associations (HOAs) and Condominium Owners Associations (COAs). Coming this new year we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Collections Specialist to manage the collection of delinquent association assessments and fees. This role requires strong communication skills, familiarity with legal collections processes, and the ability to work closely with attorneys, property managers, and association boards. FULL TIME POSITION!!
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor delinquent HOA and COA accounts Communicate with unit owners regarding outstanding balances, payment plans, and deadlines Prepare, send, and track demand letters, notices of intent to lien, and related correspondence Coordinate with attorneys on lien filings, foreclosures, and legal collections actions Maintain accurate records of payments, balances, and collection activity Work with property management companies and association representatives to resolve account issues Ensure compliance with applicable state laws, governing documents, and firm procedures Respond to phone calls, emails, and inquiries related to collection matters in a professional manner Update internal case management and accounting systems regularly Qualifications
Preferably prior experience in collections, preferably HOA/COA, real estate, or legal environment Strong understanding of collections processes and customer account management Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to handle sensitive financial matters professionally and confidentially Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal or collections software Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines efficiently Ability to maintain accurate calculations
