Base pay range $31.19/hr - $33.43/hr
Summary Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant I will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
Duties And Responsibilities
Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
Maintains the subledger for fixed assets and prepares depreciation/amortization and other fixed asset schedules.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations as assigned.
Prepare monthly journal entries for month-end closings.
Assist with the general accounts payable function.
Perform credit card reconciliations and receipt matching.
Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
Performs other general accounting and department projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field, required.
At least one year of related experience required.
Attention to details.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
Experience with Sage Intacct, Bill.com, SAP Concur, and Intuit QuickBooks Online is a plus.
