Overview
Strategic Analysis is looking for a
Senior Acquisitions Analyst
to support the planning, execution, and management of government procurement and acquisition activities. This role analyzes requirements, develops acquisition strategies, ensures compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS), and provides analytical support throughout the acquisition lifecycle to ensure cost‑effective, timely, and compliant procurement of goods and services.
Responsibilities
Analyze acquisition requirements and assist in developing acquisition plans and strategies
Conduct market research to identify potential vendors, pricing trends, and best‑value solutions
Prepare and review acquisition documentation, including Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and Statements of Objectives (SOO), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and Requests for Quote (RFQ)
Support contract award, modification, and closeout activities
Evaluate vendor proposals for compliance, cost realism, and technical merit
Track procurement actions, milestones, and funding status
Ensure acquisitions comply with federal, state, or local procurement laws and policies
Coordinate with contracting officers, program managers, legal counsel, and finance teams
Assist with contract administration, including performance monitoring and reporting
Prepare briefings, reports, and recommendations for leadership and stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Public Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
8+ years of experience supporting government procurement or acquisition functions
Working knowledge of acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS, or state/local equivalents)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to interpret contracts, regulations, and financial data
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with federal agencies or government contractors
Awareness of the MIPR process and what a 7600A is
DAWIA, FAC-C, or equivalent acquisition certification
Experience with cost analysis, budget tracking, or financial modeling
Familiarity with acquisition systems (e.g., SAM.gov, FPDS, PRISM, ConWrite, or similar tools) including non‑traditional acquisition pathways
