Job Overview We are seeking a detail‑oriented, highly organized Grants & RFP Assistant to support the development of local, state, and federal grant applications with partners and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for our business expansion. The role is ideal for someone passionate about educational equity, skilled at writing and document formatting, and eager to grow in the grants and RFP field.
Key Responsibilities Writing & Document Support
Assist in preparing draft narratives, attachments, and supporting documents for grants and RFP submissions.
Proofread and format proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
Help maintain updated boilerplate language, organizational descriptions, and standard proposal materials.
Project & Submission Coordination
Track deadlines, required documents, and submission instructions for grant and RFP opportunities.
Assist in maintaining the grants/RFP calendar and sending reminders to internal stakeholders.
Organize, label, and maintain proposal files and folders on Google Drive.
Support tracking of submissions and outcomes in Salesforce and internal logs.
Research & Information Gathering
Conduct background research on potential RFPs, grants, and partner opportunities.
Gather data, program details, and impact stories from internal teams (Education, Curriculum, Partnership Success).
Assist with compiling budgets and required forms under the direction of the Coordinator and leadership.
Communication & Collaboration
Serve as support for communication between departments regarding proposal needs and deadlines.
Assist in coordinating meetings, collecting updates, and following up on outstanding items.
Prepare summaries and notes for grant requirements, RFP instructions, and funder specifications.
Reporting & Follow‑Up
Support the development of interim and final grant reports by gathering data and drafting narrative sections.
Assist in preparing stewardship documents such as success stories, program highlights, and impact summaries.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; fields such as English, Communications, Education, Public Policy, or related areas a plus.
Preferred 1 + years of experience in writing, administrative support, project coordination, or related work (grant/RFP experience preferred but not required).
Strong writing, proofreading, and document‑editing skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
Competency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive); Salesforce experience a plus.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote/hybrid team.
Available to work in Central Standard Time zone.
