This role is a chance to own the accounting foundation of a growing fintech that operates both a construction lending business and a SaaS platform. If you enjoy building clean, reliable financial systems and being accountable for the numbers end-to-end, this role offers real ownership and impact. What You’ll Do

Record Keeping Run the full accounting function as a team of one: general ledger, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close across multiple entities. Treasury Reconcile operating accounts, trust/escrow/reserve accounts, warehouse lines, loan fund flows, draws, payoffs, and capital movements. Revenue Recognition Oversee revenue recognition for SaaS subscriptions, interest income, draw fees, platform fees, and other lending-related revenue streams. Accounting technology Reconcile loan-level data between QuickBooks, LoanPro, and internal analytics tools to ensure system-to-ledger accuracy. External Audit support Maintain accounting controls, documentation, and processes that support audits, tax prep, lenders, and capital partners. Accounting representation with senior leadership team Work closely with Ops, Asset Management, Data, Product, Engineering, and Leadership to ensure financial accuracy as systems and workflows evolve. What Success Looks Like

Deliver timely, accurate month-end closes with clean reconciliations. Eliminate unexplained variances and strengthen accounting controls. Establish reliable, repeatable accounting processes that scale. Become the trusted source of truth for financial accuracy across the company. Give leadership, banks, and investors confidence in the numbers. What You Bring

Strong GAAP and full-cycle accounting experience. Hands-on ownership of month-end close and reconciliations. Deep attention to detail and high standards for accuracy. Comfort working independently and owning outcomes. Clear, confident communication with cross-functional teams. Experience with QuickBooks (or similar accounting systems). Bonus: experience with loan accounting, interest accruals, SaaS revenue, fintech, or construction finance. What You’ll Get
