OEG is looking for a Controller to lead our Finance team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, preparing financial reports, monitoring budgets, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Additionally, the Controller will collaborate with different departments to support strategic decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and external audit requirements.
Maintain and enhance internal controls and financial procedures.
Support the annual audit and tax filing process by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
Collaborate with departments across the organization to provide financial insight and reporting.
Manage general ledger activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
Oversee regulatory reporting and compliance (e.g., sales tax, 1099s, etc.).
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP.
Public accounting experience or experience in a similar individual contributor role preferred.
Proficient in accounting software, including QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel; ERP experience preferred, with familiarity in NetSuite and Aspire a plus.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Comfortable working cross‑functionally and independently, without direct reports.
