Base pay range : $120,000 – $140,000 per year.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Revenue Recognition Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting standards and regulations. This role will be essential in driving the financial success of our company within the energy industry. As a leader, you will guide a team of accountants, foster a positive and productive work environment, and contribute to the development of the company's financial strategies.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all aspects of revenue recognition, including billing, revenue recognition, and deferred revenue.

Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards related to revenue recognition.

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports, analyses, and forecasts.

Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition.

Develop and implement revenue recognition policies and procedures in line with the company's strategic objectives.

Guide and mentor a team of accountants, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.

Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes related to revenue.

Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to keep the company ahead of any changes that could impact financial performance.

Participate in the development and execution of the company's financial strategies.

Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve financial reporting, and enhance internal controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the energy industry.

In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards related to revenue recognition.

Proven experience in intercompany accounting and transactions.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

Proficiency in the use of accounting software and other financial management tools.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
