System One is assisting a Houston energy client with a search for a RevenueAccounting Supervisor. This newly created position will oversee revenue accounting for storage facilities and pipelines, including recent acquisitions. The role offers exposure to FERC regulations, ASC 606 compliance, and collaboration with commercial teams to analyze variances. You’ll lead a team of three entry-level accountants in Houston. Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor a team of 3 revenue accountants in Houston. Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes for storage facilities and pipelines. Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and regulatory requirements (FERC experience highly preferred). Collaborate with commercial teams to analyze revenue variances and resolve issues. Manage state filings and audits; lead special projects and process improvement initiatives. Drive efficiency in revenue accounting processes, including leveraging Excel and reporting tools. Support integration of recent acquisitions and identify opportunities for improvement. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA a plus Minimum 5+ years of revenue accounting experience in the energy sector. Experience with ASC 606; FERC reporting is a plus. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Power BI, SAP, and Oracle systems. Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing or mentoring staff. Project management experience also a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to research and resolve complex issues. Positive, driven, and collaborative personality; thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
