We are a Nashville-based music and entertainment-focused business management firm that has been in business since the late 1980s. We are a well-established firm with a great name and reputation in the market and, due to this, have continued to grow at a rate of 30%+ in the last 2 years alone.
Due to this growth we are looking to add an experienced
Senior Staff Accountant
to our growing team. Any music/entertainment business management experience is a huge plus!
Position Overview The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our client base, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage various accounting tasks, working with multiple clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments and collections.
Prepare and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards.
Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timely payment of wages and taxes.
Prepare and file 1099 forms for independent contractors at year-end.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Conduct account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for budgeting and forecasting.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
Strong knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance regulations.
Experience with 1099 reporting and compliance.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze data effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
