Position Summary The EDI Project Manager operates across multiple business units as the focal point for the development and day‑to‑day support of the organization’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) service. This role plays a pivotal part in driving electronic order intake volumes, automating transactions with customers/suppliers, compliance with customer electronic transaction requirements, and driving cross‑functional productivity. In addition to technical acumen, cross‑functional collaboration and prioritization is required to ensure effective operation and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions
Strategy: Partner with the Commercial organizations to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the EDI services.
EDI Development and Support: Coordinate design, development, and maintenance of EDI capabilities across D365 and our EDI gateway services. Assist users with handling software, process, and data‑driven situations to ensure information flows are working optimally.
Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to EDI performance and implementation, and implement optimizations as needed.
Cross‑functional Collaboration: Collaborate with customer service, sales, and operations teams to ensure effective operations with existing trading partners and smooth implementation of new ones.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third‑party vendors or agencies involved in content creation, data management, credit card processing, and/or system support as needed.
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, information management, a related field.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, IT, web development, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with EDI and MS D365.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with EDI service providers.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, project management, and organizational skills.
Effective communication, facilitation, conflict‑resolution, and collaboration skills.
Adaptability to changing priorities and technological advancements.
Displays a positive customer‑focused work attitude and a strong team player.
