Responsibilities
Ensure all HUB activities are carried out in compliance with any company guidelines or governmental regulations regarding Maersk's status as a Container Freight Station (CFS) and Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF)
Retain all records regarding bonded (CFS) and screened (CCSF) cargo, including maintaining the CFS log
Oversee safe operation of any equipment according to company policy and local regulations
Direct warehouse staff with a focus on timely, efficient, and damage‑free cargo handling (including proper breakdown and build up of Unit Load Devices, loading/unloading of Ocean freight Containers)
Encourage staff development through training and quality management activities
Utilize expertise to guide internal and external stakeholders and act as liaison when needed
Complete all trainings as assigned in a timely manner
Work closely with other HUBS or gateways and stations to deliver a high level of service to our customers
Apply reporting skills as they pertain to inventory control, supplier stock, and equipment (ULDs/containers)
Maintain an organized floor space through cargo control and recommend improvements by controlling cargo flow in and out of the HUB
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in warehousing, logistics and/or distribution
HS Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to work within a team
Ability to manage workload independently with strong attention to deadlines, compliance and quality
Set an example to others to follow regarding knowledge, expertise, work ethic and reliability
Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
Flight turnaround times or cargo availability
Volume throughput and/or ULD build-up/break-down count
Load quality and accuracy
Non‑exempt positions
Work Hours and Compensation This position generally requires availability for a 40 hour work week during standard business hours. It may also require overtime availability during the week past standard business hours and/or on weekends or holidays. All overtime worked will be compensated in accordance with any local, state, or federal law, as applicable.
