Business Development Manager
to join its expanding team in Carson, CA. This role is ideal for a results‑driven professional with a strong background in transportation and supply chain solutions.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions. Key responsibilities include prospecting, contract development, pricing strategy, and supporting operational execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate new business through cold calling, outreach, and networking
Develop and present customized logistics proposals
Maintain and grow client relationships through regular communication
Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure service excellence
Address customer concerns and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, transportation, or related field
Experience with transportation management systems (TMS)
Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills (hunter's mentality)
Outside sales experience
Ability to travel up to 10%
