Job Description Join the BDIR team as a Business Development / Investor Relations Associate – Senior Associate. You will contribute to the firm’s growth, fundraising, and investor engagement. Ideal candidates bring direct experience in business development or investor relations, private‑markets knowledge, and strong financial acumen. Detail‑oriented, proactive, and thrive in a fast‑paced, initiative‑driven environment.
Key responsibilities include enhancing pipeline management, managing investor communications, coordinating due diligence, and collaborating with investment, finance, legal, and compliance teams. Must be a self‑starter, highly motivated, and skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
Responsibilities
Coordinate internal and external meetings, ensuring clear follow‑ups and organized execution across stakeholders.
Drive and enhance pipeline management: reporting, tracking, prioritization, and analysis using InvestorFlow and Excel.
Prepare and update fundraising materials (pitchbooks, updates, investor communications) in partnership with internal teams.
Support senior professionals with strategic business development initiatives and prioritization.
Lead coordination and completion of DDQs, RFPs, and diligence requests with high attention to detail.
Maintain the team’s database of investor questions, responses, and related materials.
Incorporate portfolio data (via PowerBI and other tools) into investor materials and diligence packages.
Log, track, and report investor activity and pipeline updates in InvestorFlow.
Analyze BD activity trends to drive insights, strategic next steps, and process improvements.
Support ad‑hoc analysis and database maintenance to strengthen investor engagements.
Partner with Investor Relations to support existing clients and deliver timely, high-quality service.
Collaborate with investment, finance, and legal/compliance teams to gather information, align messaging, and develop materials.
Requirements
At least 2 years on a Business Development / Investor Relations team or capital introduction team; alternative asset‑management experience is a plus.
At least 2 years in investment banking, consulting, or similar corporate experience.
Demonstrated experience managing DDQ/RFP processes and leading due diligence workflows.
Client‑ready and trusted in external interactions from Day 1.
Highly proactive with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strategic thinker able to connect details to broader fundraising strategy.
Capable of pushing processes forward with limited direction.
Strong written and verbal communication; client‑service mindset.
Collaborative team player who works effectively across internal teams.
Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment with willingness to take on diverse responsibilities.
Technical Skills
Strong Excel skills, including managing/supporting pipeline processes.
High proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
Experience with CRM systems (InvestorFlow a plus) and data tools such as PowerBI.
Compensation Estimated base salary range: $100,000 – $175,000 per year, plus annual discretionary incentive award. Base salary may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
