Analyst, Advisory (Private Markets)
Location:
New York, NY Schedule:
Hybrid – 4 days onsite / 1 day remote Compensation:
$120,000–$140,000 base + discretionary bonus
Overview Our client is a leading private markets advisory firm that partners with asset managers on capital raising initiatives. The Analyst will support senior team members across all aspects of private equity and private capital fundraising engagements, gaining hands‑on exposure to fundraise execution, client interaction, and investor processes.
This role is ideal for an analytically strong professional with 2+ years of experience who is interested in building a career in private markets advisory and capital raising.
Primary Responsibilities
Support senior team members on all aspects of fundraising deal management, from launch through close
Conduct analytical work related to client portfolios, historical track records, team assessments, and market opportunity analysis
Assist in the preparation of fundraising and marketing materials, including pitchbooks, PPMs, DDQs, and case studies
Help coordinate and prioritize client fundraising roadshow planning and scheduling
Respond to investor due diligence questions and support ongoing information requests
Assist in identifying and addressing fundraising challenges as they arise
Prepare and maintain detailed fundraising trackers, timelines, and reporting materials
Prepare and coordinate the delivery of investor briefing notes and meeting materials for clients
Client Interface & Exposure
Attend regular client meetings and conference calls
Gain significant exposure to senior client stakeholders throughout the fundraising process
Develop strong working relationships with client peers and internal counterparts
Build credibility and rapport with client stakeholders at and above peer level over time
Additional Responsibilities
Provide origination support, including pitch preparation, GP landscaping, and new opportunity analysis
Support investor coverage initiatives, working closely with relationship managers to develop a deeper understanding of the LP universe and investor landscape
Qualifications
2+ years of relevant experience in private equity, private capital, investment banking, placement agents, or financial advisory
Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating investment strategies, track records, and market opportunities
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, precise, and thoughtful content
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
Strong interpersonal skills and comfort interacting with clients and senior stakeholders
Interest in private markets and capital raising
