Building Automation Consultant - South-East Market Specialist

Base Pay Range $110,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
Overview We are seeking a senior-level Systems Engineer to lead design efforts for Building Automation Systems (BAS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and integrated technology solutions in mission-critical environments such as hyperscale data centers. This role combines technical leadership, design execution, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead designs for DDC and PLC-based BAS and EPMS systems
Define controls network architecture, IT/OT requirements, and system diagrams
Prepare sequences of operation, specifications, and point/alarm lists
Coordinate with vendors, engineers, and BIM/AutoCAD resources
Ensure compliance with best practices for secure and reliable systems
Manage design phases (SD, DD, IFC) and construction administration activities
Review RFIs, submittals, and participate in quality control and site‑turn reviews
Support project closeout, punch lists, and documentation
Work with internal and external engineering teams and client stakeholders
Mentor junior engineers and delegate tasks effectively
Serve as a technical point of contact for clients when required
Qualifications
Proficiency in MS Office and Revit
Strong knowledge of networking (VLANs, LANs), IoT, and open protocols (BACnet, Modbus, SNMP)
Experience with DDC systems (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Honeywell) and PLC systems (e.g., Schneider, Allen Bradley)
Familiarity with smart building solutions and emerging technologies
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities
