Operations Supervisor - Industrial Manufacturing (Bio‑Fuel)

Stockton, IA (ON-SITE ROLE)
Salary:
$80,000‑$100,000/Year + Benefits and 25% Bonus + Company Car Relocation Assistance Available
Requirements:
5+ Years of Plant Operation Experience with Leadership in past roles. Experience working within an Industrial plant (preferably Oil/Gas/Bio‑Fuel) would be preferred, but not needed. Experience working with Electrical Systems and a strong understanding of Mechanical Systems and Troubleshooting will be required, as well as the ability to read blueprints & other technical documents.
(Feedstock Experience would be a PLUS for this role!)
What You Will Be Doing The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring safety, quality, efficiency, schedules, budget, housekeeping, and required documentation, including supervision of department employees and coordination of daily activities.
Responsible for biogas collection operations and maintenance duties at assigned farms
Direct tasks to technicians in daily activities with a goal of optimizing facility operation
Manage staff schedules to stay in compliance with biosecurity requirements
Responsible for grounds and regularly scheduled equipment maintenance coordination
Support technicians during maintenance projects on major mechanical equipment
Oversee safe work practices, including lock‑out/tag‑out, confined space permits, and the use of proper personal protective equipment
Perform annual appraisals of direct reports \ Procure tools and equipment to complete work tasks
Enforce company policies and procedures
Maintain staff by assisting with recruiting, selecting, and training employees; counsel and discipline employees; perform annual appraisals of direct reports
Work closely with EHS and HR departments
Travel domestically between domestic projects and to the St. Louis headquarters (up to 20%)
Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations
Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner, and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements
Assist and/or operate facilities as needed
What You Need for this Position
A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required
Prefer five (5) years of Plant Operation experience
Supervisory experience is preferred but not required
The ability to read blueprints and other technical documents is required
Ability to properly train new employees in biogas processing plant operation
Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills, as well as initiative and the ability to delegate decision‑making and other responsibilities
Ability to handle multiple time‑sensitive projects and issues; must work well under pressure
Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting is required
Ability to read and understand schedules and basic business acumen is required
Computer skills and a basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows‑based programs are required; must be able to learn additional software: SharePoint, Ignition, MaintainX, GoCanvas, etc
Strong math skills are required
High level of energy and motivation
Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment
Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean MVR
