Montgomery VPC Team - Quality Control Inspector (1st Shift)

Summary The Quality Control Inspector will audit the quality of GLOVIS services including but not limited to underbody coat applications, vehicle processing operations, PIO parts installations, load line processes, export processes, body shop repairs, and rail loading.
Responsibilities
Perform new vehicle audits.
Audit the quality of all GLOVIS services and detect minor vehicle issues.
Have good color vision.
Inspect cars using GPQMS Audit App, specialized camera, and/or check sheets.
Document inspection results and take pictures of non-conforming items.
Record inspection results truthfully.
Alert supervisor/manager of quality concerns immediately.
Provide feedback to resolve compliance issues.
Audit employee compliance with standardized processes, procedures, bulletins, and work instructions.
Assist with creating and monitoring corrective actions and countermeasures.
Provide input on correcting known issues within various departments.
Notify supervisor/manager if units flagged for defects are not repaired in a timely manner.
Assist with development of audit strategies.
Assist with training new staff on quality inspections.
Develop and implement audit strategies, audit-related policies and procedures, and assessment schedules.
Fill in where needed, including all Tier 1 & 2 positions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
1 year quality inspection preferred.
Valid state‑issued driver's license without restrictions.
Computer literacy with experience in Bluetooth/RF technology and logistics software preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to record and verify 17‑character numerical values.
Ability to adapt to process change and ISO standards.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements
Drive.
Walk, lift up to 25 lbs, carry up to 25 lbs, push/pull.
Work at heights approximately 20 ft.
Bend/stoop, kneel, squat/crouch, stand.
Working and Environmental Conditions
Plant manufacturing/warehouse setting in Montgomery, AL.
Exposure to loud noises from vehicles and heavy machinery.
Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
Exposure to chemicals/fumes.
