Job Description
Transit Drivers are responsible for providing safe and comfortable transportation in and around Denali National Park while delivering basic visitor information. The seasonal role runs April through September 2026.
Employer Doyon Limited and Aramark operate the Denali National Park & Preserve Concessionaire. 100 Blue Bird Bus Fleet serves daily tourists during summer months.
Responsibilities
Provide safe and comfortable transportation into Denali National Park and surrounding area. Some passengers may have limited physical abilities.
Maintain structured pacing schedule as determined by transit schedule.
Provide professional level customer service to all passengers using the service.
Provide basic operational and natural history information to customers as needed.
Follow prescribed process and procedures as they relate to the Courtesy operation.
Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards.
Adhere to emergency, accident procedures and radio protocol.
Perform all duties in a safe manner by adhering to all driving regulations, company safety policies and procedures, and DOT regulations.
Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive demeanor towards guests, clients, and co‑workers.
Assist guests with inquiries about the property/area; facilitate guided tours where applicable.
Maintain cleanliness, fuel, and perform inspections on vehicle.
Qualifications
One year experience driving a CDL vehicle.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Valid Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsement.
Minimum 23 years of age.
No suspension of driving privileges for moving violations in the past 3 years.
Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
