Under the direction of the Regional Director of Facilities Management, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and mechanical systems
Complete work orders efficiently while maintaining clean and safe work areas
Inspect and replace fixtures, filters, faucets, and valves as needed
Support emergency preparedness, safety compliance, and disaster procedures
Monitor for safety concerns and promptly address hazards
Provide professional, courteous service to patients, staff, and visitors
Participate in on‑call rotation at least one week per month
Required Skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital/healthcare facility or 2 years in facilities maintenance or construction
Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
Physical & Work Requirements
Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and climbing
Exposure to mechanical systems, electrical components, and varying temperatures
On‑call availability required
