Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with plant leadership to align safety initiatives with operational goals.

Own and maintain the plant's PSM program in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119.

Own EPA RMP program and maintain compliance.

Work with company and consultants to deliver PSM and RMP materials required.

Conduct and lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP and What-If studies.

Ensure timely completion of Management of Change (MOC) processes.

Oversee mechanical integrity programs for critical equipment.

Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses for process-related events.

Maintain and update operating procedures and ensure employee training compliance.

Interface with regulatory agencies and ensure audit readiness.

Other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field (preferred).

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Minimum 4+ years of experience in process safety, chemical manufacturing, or high-hazard industries.

Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1910.119 PSM standards and EPA RMP.

Proven experience leading PHAs using HAZOP, What-If, FMEA, or LOPA.

Demonstrated success in developing and implementing process safety systems and risk mitigation strategies.

Expertise in root cause analysis, incident investigation, and corrective action planning.

Familiarity with reliability engineering principles, asset integrity, and mechanical integrity programs.

Ability to interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and control systems.

Proficiency in process safety software tools.
