Job Summary The GA-AIM Business Operations Specialist will support Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center in all business efforts associated with the Georgia Artificial Intelligence Manufacturing grant (GA AIM). This position will perform all administrative, financial, and reporting functions associated with the grant, to include onboarding and managing personnel (to include student interns), in addition to data analysis, budget and income projections, reconciliations, and day-to-day financial processing. This position will provide direct support to the Director, Business Operations, Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center.
Responsibilities Business Analysis:
Provides critical analysis and tracking of all financial and budgetary information associated with the GA AIM grant in partnership with senior leadership on financial planning for operations, budget and in support of strategic initiatives. Analyze data using complex spreadsheets, databases, and query writing. Identify trends, revenue projections, and available funding opportunities. Identify inefficiencies and bring innovative and creative ideas to leadership for continuous improvement of business operations.
Financial:
Responsible for preparation, verification and submission of information in the form of check requests, cost transfers, budget transfer requests, requisitions, and various financial tasks, utilizing knowledge of budget and funding requirements. Process timely reconciliations of financial accounts, resolving errors and findings in a timely manner. Process position ePARs as needed and reconcile all budgets associated with grant supported positions. Interpret and explain financial information to a variety of constituents with varying levels of financial understanding. Calculate expenses, project growth and revenue, estimate costs, and refine planned budgets as needed. Maintain all applicable backup to ensure audit-worthy financials.
Operational:
Assist with creation of and updates to operational policies and procedures as needed for the GA AIM grant within the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center. Manage the operational and HR requirements to hire and budget for student assistants / interns as part of the GA AIM grant. Work closely with Director, Business Operations, Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center in developing necessary tools to ensure policy implementation and adherence to GAAP accounting principles and USG Policies and procedures. Collaborate with each unit of the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center executive group, Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center Resident partners, and key leadership to meet the mission and vision of the GA AIM grant and the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center. Develop workflow charts and programs as needed.

Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration or a related discipline and one year of administrative and/or fiscal management experience.
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of administrative and/or fiscal management experience.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization and three years of administrative and/or fiscal management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial Systems
Self-motivated desire to learn
Experience in process / policy writing
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE:
Proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases. Knowledge and direct experience in financial and budgetary practices, fiscal data administration as well as compliance and records management.
SKILLS:
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, prioritization, and customer service skills. Strong analytical skills
ABILITIES:
Ability to maintain confidentiality; Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make responsible decisions; Ability to gather, review, and analyze financial and operational data.
Shift / Salary / Benefits Shift: Days/M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required).
Pay Band: 10
Salary: Minimum $52,500/annual.
Salary to be commensurate with the qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum midpoint) of the position.
