Job Summary
Exciting opportunity to work at Ocean Downs Casino only 10 minutes from the beautiful beaches and boardwalk of Ocean City, MD. This full‑time, year‑round position focuses on ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests during the 2 pm‑10 pm swing shift. Benefits include medical coverage, paid sick, vacation, personal days, holiday pay, and 401(k) options.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Serves as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication.
Acts as a role model and coaches while developing employees using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations.
Conducts interviews with employee candidates.
Recommends, documents and issues discipline.
Responsible for supervision, training and evaluation of staff.
Responsible for schedules and daily assignments to security staff as required.
Responsible for reviewing and submitting all shift paperwork.
Communicates policy and procedure changes, special events and other activities to security staff.
Supervises and conducts investigations as requested.
Ensures compliance with State Lottery Regulations, Internal Controls and company Policies & Procedures.
Maintains positive interactions with Maryland State Lottery Agency, Local Law Enforcement Agencies and other state agencies.
Promotes outstanding customer relations and honesty and trust among the team.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Abilities
Three (3) or more years of security supervisory experience (gaming industry preferred).
Valid driver’s license required and must meet the company Motor Vehicle Policy.
Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficient for the position.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co‑workers and management.
Must obtain and maintain a license issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency.
Education And Experience
High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, walk or stand for extended periods of time without difficulty.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
