Set Up Supervisor

Key Purpose The Set-Up Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, arrangement, and breakdown of banquet/event spaces to ensure all setups meet client specifications and company standards. This role ensures timely execution of event setups, supervises the set-up team, and maintains a high level of service and operational efficiency.
Work Hours The work hours for this position may include afternoons, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Key Accountabilities
Oversee room setup for events, ensuring layouts match BEOs, client requests, and venue standards
Manage Sunday Brunch buffet setup and flow, coordinating with culinary and service staff for presentation and timing
Coordinate physical event setups with culinary and banquet teams, including food process, table settings, and equipment needs
Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and presentation of furniture, décor, and storage areas to ensure readiness for events
Support the Director of Sales with operational execution of events, acting as a bridge between sales promises and event delivery
Assist with vendor load‑in, décor placement, and pre‑event staging to streamline event flow
Monitor event spaces during functions, addressing service or setup adjustments as needed
Ensure consistency in venue aesthetics, from tableware and linens to décor and signage
Communicate with catering production staff to confirm timelines, staffing needs, and room readiness
Conduct post‑event reset and ensure proper breakdown and storage of décor, equipment, and furniture
Assist with maintaining inventory of catering supplies, furniture, and event décor items
Provide support for client walkthroughs or site visits when setup assistance is required
Step in to troubleshoot small operational issues before escalating to the Production Manager or DOS
Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
May be exposed to heat, cold, humidity, and other weather conditions
Employees must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
